How Does Activity Level Impact Sleep Quality?

According to a new study, getting up and moving around could lead to better sleep and a happier you (Zapalac K, et.al., 2024).

With the help of wearable tech, researchers tracked 82 people over several months, noting their sleep patterns, daily movements, and mood.

The more active they were, the better they slept, particularly experiencing more of the deep sleep that refreshes the brain.

In contrast, those who sat more had more dream sleep, which is not as refreshing.

Participants with better sleep quality felt more energetic and less stressed.

So, this study hints that a little exercise could go a long way in boosting our mood and overall well being.
