Berberine is a very interesting plant compound. Research is now finding that berberine provides multiple health benefits.

Increasing evidence indicates that the gut microbiota may serve as a target for the multifunctional effects of berberine (Yang S, et al., 2921).

Under the pathological conditions of atherosclerosis and metabolic diseases, berberine improves intestinal barrier function and reduces inflammation induced by gut microbiota-derived lipopolysaccharide. Atherosclerosis is the buildup of plaque in the arteries.

This improves the glucose and the lipid metabolism and also the energy homeostasis. Lower blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL (low density lipoprotein) are some of the results.. These are all really important functions related to health. Berberine has even shown to improve other aspects of health.

Take berberine when you start to eat, 2-3 times daily.
